Biodiversity: Outcomes

Annual Reporting

We have defined a methodology to consistently measure and report on our habitats at a local level. This enables us to create plans to improve and increase our habitats which will in turn support the development of ecosystems. Over time we will devise an approach to the measurement and reporting of the diversity of our ecosystems.

Our reporting will ensure transparency and empowerment at local level while allowing the capability to report by country and at total Group level.

Improving Our Local Biodiversity Reporting

Through active habitat management development and reporting of habitat management, building to ecosystem reporting through a three-step process.

Number 1

Establish Habitat Baseline

  • What have we got?
  • Scope - what could we have?

Target and Track Habitat Improvement

  • Number of features
  • Area of each
  • Area as % total
  • Types
  • Connectivity
  • Quality (diversity and condtion)

Establish Species Counting and Reporting Capability

  • Species counting
  • Richness Variety
  • Evenness
  • ISO standard checking on samples

Measuring our success

We have developed at set of reporting tools to enable us to understand where each of our key growing regions are in their biodiversity journey:
